About this project This collection is from Minnesota and is Spanish America War Muster Rolls and Casualty Lists. Fields to be keyed are: Name, Military Date, Rank, Military City, Military State, Military Country, Residence City, Residence State and Death Date.

Given

Key the first name or initial and any middle names as seen on the record using the dictionary provided to assist you. Initials should be keyed with a space between them and without entering the periods.The Given Name can be located in the following locations titled: "Name" or "Changes in Officers" or "Commanding Officer".The order of the Given and Surname can switch, so use dicitonary provided.

Key all titles, such as "Jr" or "III", following the surname as seen on the record using the dictionary provided to assist you.

Military Day

When provided, key the Military Day from the Military Date. The Military Date can be located in several locations. If provided, key the Military Date located by each record.If there is not a Military Date for each record then key the earliest date in the header of the image and copy down for every record if provided. If there is a Military Date located in the header and by each record then only key the Military Date by each record.
