Vernon is a county in Wisconsin. It was formed in 1851 (as Bad Axe) from Crawford County(renamed Vernon 1862). Vernon began keeping birth records in 1863, marriage records in 1855, and death records in 1878. It began keeping land records in 1851, probate records in 1850, and court records in 1853.
