Q: I have a birth records entry which reads GOULD THOMAS, OF THOMAS AND SARAH, MIDDLETOWN, JULY 11, 1728.  The next line reads JOHN, OCT. 29, 1736.  Am I to assume (and key) that John is also the son of Thomas & Sarah born in Middletown?  Or do I only key John's name and birthdate as seen?

A: I am looking into this right now - if you could post a screen shot of the record that would help as I have not seen this in other records.Annafechter 23:36, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

I have tried and tried.  Its not letting me take a screen shot. I think the answer is to just key as seen (making no assumptions) as the dates aren't chronological and start skipping around.  Sorry for the trouble.

Thank you for trying. If we determine that the children in between the names of the children with parents should belong to the same parents we can make these adjustments after the data has been entered.
