Feel free to add to or edit information in this discussion tab as necessary. Please take time to become familiar with the World Archives Keying Standards and be sure to read all instructions on the main project page. (Please note that in case of a discrepancy, project level instructions always trump general keying standards.)
Extra Keying Helps
On opening an image that looks as though it could be "image with no data", please check the right hand side of the page too, it could be "index". Some of the sets have the index only on the right hand side.
Common Keying Errors Found by Reviewers
When the parents name is given as John, with no surname please do not assume the surname is the same as the childs. leave it blank.

'expanding years' above: does that mean, if date is shown as 04, we key 04 and not 1904? Thanks.
- A: Yes, it means you should key it as 04 if that is how it appears on the image. --Katerimmer (talk) 10:18, 4 September 2017 (MDT)
Prefix: I have a parent shown as Mrs. Jones. Since there is no prefix field, do I leave the given name blank, or do I put Mrs? Thank you for your time.
Q: When the parent name is that of a guardian should the name still be listed?
