I am looking for information about William Starrett, born Apri 15, 1694 in Scotland. He married Mary Gamble in Ireland 1724. They immigrated to the U.S I find here on ancestry.com that his father was William Stewart born March 4, 1655 in Scotland. I'm wondering why the change in surname? Starrett from Stewart?
