'''Project Instructions'''

This collection contains an 1842 publication by the Children's Employment Commission, containing interviews of employed children within the United Kingdom.

From these images we are keying all names that appear in italics. These are the names of those that are being interviewed by the Children's Employment Commission and will typically be children, but occasionally be names of parents and employers. From the interviews, we are keying the age of the individual.

Often the city and or country of the business will be given in the margins or heading. The city and/or country should be keyed into the Residence City and Residence Country fields for each person to whom it applies.

Gender should only be keyed when it can be safely assumed. A gender can be assumed for interviews written in the third person, and refer to the individual as "him" (Male), or "her" (Female). Gender can also be assumed based on name for names such as John (Male), or Elizabeth (Female). If you cannot reasonably assume gender, then the gender field should be left blank. For names which have changed gender over the years, such as Robin, Ashley, or Lesley, a gender should not be keyed.

'''Project-specific sample images and form field help:'''
For example, if an age appears as 10 years, 7 months, key age as "10" If an age appears in months, such as 10 months, key age as a fraction: "10/12" If an Age includes years plus a fraction, such as 3 3/12, key only the year: "3." If the age is less than one month, key "0."
====City====
Key the city where the business is located as seen on the image using the dictionary provided to assist you.
====Country====
Key the country where the business is located as seen on the image using the dictionary provided to assist you.
====Gender====
Key the gender as "Male" or "Female" if a gender can be safely assumed. A gender can be assumed for interviews written in the third person, and refer to the individual as "him" (Male), or "her" (Female).

This collection contains a publication of members of the Anglican clergy in 1897.

From these images we are keying names and residence location where available.

Only key names of clergy members. Do not key names of benefactors, patrons, or names that are only titles, such as "The Lord Bishop of London."

Where possible residence locations should be keyed. Only key the names of towns, cities, counties, and/or countries. Separate geographical locations with a comma, such as "Pentwyn, Monmouth". If no town, city, county or country is available leave the residence location field blank.
'''Project Instructions'''

This collection contains an 1842 publication by the Children's Employment Commission, containing interviews of employed children withing the United Kingdom.

'''Project Instructions'''

This collection contains an 1842 publication by the Children's Employment Commission, containing interviews of employed children withing the United Kingdom.

The residence city should be keyed to all records on the image to which it applies.
