Windon S. Newton (1962- ) artist of colored pigment, pastel, oil, acrylic, watercolor works on paper has worked in Florida, Wisconsin, Germany, Paris and California. Newton partnered and signed work as Gessford & Newton Studios between 1984-2002 and his own name. In1993-94, Windon Newton and Gary Gessford both received the six-month artist/residency including a two-man art exhibition at the Otto Flath Museum in Bad Segeberg, Germany. Newton’s public commissions include works for Polk Museum of Art, Maitland Art Center, Kunsthalle Otto Flath, The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, City of Lakeland FL, Rollins College, Florida Southern College, and as Wayland Academy's sequential artist. Newton partners with Michael Stevenson as an artist and art conservator under LA Art Box and Life as Colored Pigment.
