New Shoreham is a town in Rhode Island. It was formed in 1661 (admitted to colony, 1664 as Block Island; ) renamed, 1672. New Shoreham began keeping land records in 1672 and probate records in 1672. Court records can be found in Washington. For more information, contact the town at P.O. Drawer 220, Block Island 02807. Part of Newport County until 1963.
