Jefferson is a county in Washington. It was formed in 1852 from the following county/ies: Thurston. Jefferson began keeping birth records in 1891, marriage records in 1853, and death records in 1891. It began keeping land records in 1855, probate records in 1853, and court records in 1854. For more information, contact the county at 1820 Jefferson St., P.O. Box 1220, Port Townsend 98368-6951.
