Florida probate records include wills, intestacy administrations, bonds, inventories and appraisements, guardianships, and property divisions familiar in most states. The records formerly held by probate courts have been transferred to the counties’ clerks of courts and are readily accessible in most jurisdictions. Many of the probate records were microfilmed in the 1970s and made available through the FHL. In addition, many Florida counties are adding indexes and original documents online at www.myfloridacounty.com.
