Ouchi Name Meaning

Japanese (Ōuchi): written 大内 ‘large house’. It is found mostly in northeastern Japan. A noble family of Suō province (now part of Yamaguchi prefecture) took the name from the village where they resided. According to legend they were descended from a Korean prince who immigrated to Japan in 61 It is also pronounced Ōchi (see Ochi ).
