We’re proud to have been the principal sponsors for the fourth year running and it was great to see so many of our members and talk with you about how we can help with your family history research online.

Bigger and better

Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE is based on the TV series of the same name and this year we had several areas for family history enthusiasts to enjoy.

Our stand - 616

Our London-based staff were available to chat with all the show attendees and answer any queries about their Ancestry.co.uk accounts, sign-up new members and assist with searches on our 11 computers which were set up with Worldwide access, so anyone could come and see all the records we have across all our international sites, as well as search important UK records for free at the show.

We also had live demonstrations of the latest Family Tree Maker® 2010 software in our Ancestryshop area, where we had show discounts on all our latest software editions, plus a special offer from the National Trust with your purchase.

Meet the celebrities

Our very own spokesperson, Tony Robinson, was available on Friday to meet with our members and he also presented ‘Journey of Record’ in our Ancestry.co.uk Academy, letting everyone know how we take old documents from the scraps of paper they sometimes are and transform them into digital records that are available to search online.

Ancestry.co.uk Scanning ServiceThis was the first year we brought along our professional scanning equipment for attendees at the show. You didn’t have to be a member, but you did have to get in quick! This service proved very popular and booked out very quickly. We thank everyone that brought along their documents to be scanned by us.
